On Wednesday, May 7, 2014 three pit bulls viciously attacked a pregnant mother and her 4-year-old son in Felton, Delaware. The woman and her son were visiting a friend when the attack happened. The boy’s mother was inside, while the young boy was playing outside in the friend’s backyard. According the the report, the friend owned three pit bulls which were also outside with the child. As the young boy was playing, the dogs suddenly attacked the boy. When his mother ran outside to help her son she was also bitten.
Two repairmen working at the house tried to save the boy and mother. When EMS arrived they tried to save the boy, but sadly he died at the scene. The boy’s mother survived the attack and was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Stories like this are both horrible and terrifying. Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the victim in this accident.
