Owner Charged After Dogs Attack 4 in Norfolk

Three pit bulls may be too much for some dog owners. After all, at the end of the day animals are still animals. If they are not properly monitored their animal nature will get the better of them. This is especially true with animals that live in packs.

Recently, an incident in Norfolk provides a horrible example of what happens when people lose control over their pets. At around 7:35 P.M., one neighborhood man heard children screaming and grabbed his bat to go save them. When he got to where the children were, he saw five children on the ground. They appeared be under attack by three dogs. All three appeared to be pit bull mix breeds. Heroically, the man did his best to get between the dogs and the children. However, he also suffered attack and was dragged to the ground. Three people were given aid at the scene and one ten year old was taken to a hospital. What’s interesting about the case is that no one seems to know what happened. While the attack was on going, the owner of the dogs came out and was able to call off the animals. She did not know, however, how her dogs were able to get out of their pin and assault the children.

According to reports, the owner of the dogs has been charged with failure to pay city license tax, failure to vaccinate, maintain a nuisance animal, and maintaining a dangerous animal.
